Curriculum Week 3 - CCNA Phase 1

This is an intermediate level course in Cisco networking fundamentals necessary for CCNA certification. This is an inclusive course that instructs in the basics of networking, network routing review, IPX/SPX protocols, access control lists, routing protocols, switching and VLAN's.  Additionally, as a requisite for CCNA certification, the course will provide participants with advanced training and instruction in the field of Cisco networking, routing, and practices and procedures.

                                         
Objectives:
  1.  Setup and configure LAN and WAN based routers
  2.  Review the OSI reference model
  3.  Implement multiprotocol routing
  4.  Compare and contrast routed versus routing protocols
  5.  Setup and implement Access Control Lists for network security
  6.  Setup RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, and OSPF routing protocols
  7.  Interpret the Spanning Tree Protocol
  8.  Compare and contrast traditional switching and VLAN implementations
  9.  Understand proper network design methodology
10.  Prepare and complete a threaded case study
